I. Company Profile
CAHMTF is a factory specialized in the production of hydrogen health products. The R & D headquarters is located in Shanghai, and the R & D branch is set up in Ningbo. The production and assembly process takes place in Foshan. Currently, it mainly produces hydrogen-rich water cups, portable hydrogen inhalation machines, hydrogen water beauty spray devices and other products. It has cumulatively served 9,000 retail and wholesale customers. The wholesale business can ship with the customer's logo according to their requirements.
II. Differences in Hydrogen Production Technologies and Influencing Factors
(I) Technology Classification and Composition
There are mainly two common hydrogen-oxygen separation technologies in the market: membrane electrode technology and proton exchange membrane technology. The membrane electrode technology consists of a proton exchange membrane, a platinum-coated catalyst and a gas exchange layer; while the proton exchange membrane technology only involves a single proton exchange membrane. Due to the inclusion of precious metal platinum, complex production process and high technical requirements, the comprehensive cost of the membrane electrode technology is much higher than that of the proton exchange membrane technology.
(II) In Terms of Hydrogen Concentration
In terms of hydrogen concentration, for the products of membrane electrode technology and proton exchange membrane technology, if there is little difference in current and water cup capacity, the amount of hydrogen produced is determined by the current, and there is no significant difference in hydrogen concentration. The hydrogen concentration can be adjusted by setting the current. Increasing the current can lead to an increase in the number of bubbles, presenting a visual effect of a relatively high hydrogen concentration.
(III) In Terms of Hydrogen Purity
Hydrogen purity is of crucial importance. The hydrogen purity generated by the water cup using membrane electrode technology is significantly higher than that of the water cup using proton exchange membrane technology. The water cup using proton exchange membrane technology is prone to produce by-products that are harmful to human health during electrolysis, such as ozone, chlorine, heavy metals, etc. This is mainly due to the voltage factor. The voltage of the water cup using proton exchange membrane technology is usually above 2.7V and increases with the increase in the number of uses. When the voltage exceeds 2.5V, electrolysis of water will produce ozone, chlorine, heavy metals, etc. While the voltage during electrolysis of the water cup using membrane electrode technology does not exceed 2.5V, which can effectively avoid the generation of such unsafe components.
(IV) Subdivisions and Risks of Membrane Electrode Technology
It should be noted that there are also differences in membrane electrode technology. A high-quality membrane electrode should have the characteristics of no decrease in hydrogen production concentration after long-term use, no increase in TDS before and after electrolysis, and long battery life. Some membrane electrodes may experience the shedding of the platinum catalyst coating after long-term use, which will also lead to risks such as the generation of ozone, chlorine, heavy metals, etc.
